Around 2010, as part of the implementation of one of “the tri dharma” of Higher Education in Indonesia, namely community service, The Electrical Distribution and Power Systems Laboratory, School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Bandung Institute of Technology worked solve various power system problems in utilities as requested. In its development, the demand for such studies is no longer limited to utilities but to various other institutions along with the increasing demand for high quality power system study.
Recognizing the high demand in the high quality power system study and its implementation on day-life, alumni of the such laboratory then pioneered business institutions that were expected to grow into high-reputation consultants in Indonesia and in the international world. This embryonal period lasted approximately 3 years from 2013 – 2015. Joining a number of practitioners who had previously been experienced in the professional world, after passing the embryonal phase then on Tuesday, September 22 2015, PT Quadran Energi Rekayasa was established.
The initiator, pioneer and founder of PT Quadran Energi Rekayasa is Dr. Ir Nanang Hariyanto who is the Head of the Electrical Power System and Distribution Laboratory STEI – ITB. While the alumni of such laboratory who founded PT Quadran Energi Rekayasa were Dr. Sudarmono Sasmono, MT, Ir Rizky Rahmani, MT and Eggy Bahtiar Ripai, ST. Among practitioners in the professional world, the founders of PT Quadran Energi Rekayasa were Novia Hafnidah, S.IP, MAB, Ir Mohammad Dharma, Ir Ade Kurnia and Hendra, ST. With diverse competencies and different founding backgrounds, PT Quadran Energi Rekayasa has a broad range of competencies to answer various problems in the electricity sector in the future.
Adjusting to the growth of people’s needs that are not limited to electricity issues but also on other public service issues, in 2016, several professionals in the field of management and public policy study led by Ahmad Zaini Miftah, S.IP., M.AP., joined Quadran Energi Rekayasa formed one of Quadran’s competencies in management and public policy study.
